Housed in the former Victoria Golf Club clubhouse, built in 1895, Roo’s Leap overlooks the fifth-oldest golf course in the world and the Montrose coastline.
Since 1986 we’ve been serving carefully prepared food and genuine hospitality in a relaxed setting. We’re known for our Josper charcoal-grilled steaks and quality Scotch beef, alongside fresh seafood, pasta, and thoughtfully prepared vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.

Superb Food
Our Burgers are made from prime Scottish beef… nothing added.
Steaks are pure Aberdeen Angus and hung for 30 days for the best texture and flavour. Fish is served within a day of delivery, fresh from the market. Even our coleslaw is prepared by hand from market-fresh veggies.

We pride ourselves in the service we offer our customers.
Our friendly, enthusiastic staff are trained to the highest standards… but we don’t do “posh”!
Family Friendly
Children under 10 are welcome until 7.30pm.
We offer a high quality children’s menu (our chicken nuggets for example are made on site from only the finest pieces of chicken breast). We have high chairs, and, for birthday occasions we can take out a cake provided by your table and sing a happy birthday!
